FAQ

Q1. What's the difference between the three Hydra Shot tools?

All three deliver the same steam hydration, the difference is the finished style:

Steam Blowout Brush: for a voluminous glossy blowout (best for fine or frizzy hair that needs a little more body)

Steam Straightening Brush: for a naturally straight vibe with soft volume (best for medium to thick hair)

Steam Iron Pro: for a salon silk press, sleek and flat look(best for medium to thick hair)

Bottom line: if you want volume, choose the Steam Blowout Brush. If you want a naturally straight vibe, go with the Steam Straightening Brush. If you want the sleekest, flattest result, pick the Steam Straightening Iron.

Q2. Can I use it on curly or coily hair? On extensions or wigs?

Yes on curly and coily hair! Steam smooths all textures, though tight curls take an extra pass or two to fully straighten.

For extensions and wigs: yes on human-hair pieces. For synthetic hair, check the care label first and use the lowest steam + temperature setting as synthetic fibers can't take the same heat.

Q3. Do I need to add water? Can I use it without water?

The Hydra Shot system uses a refillable water tank to create the steam. Use distilled water for the best results (less mineral buildup). You can run it dry as a regular heat tool, but the steam is what gives you the hydration, lower-heat styling, and frizz control, so we recommend always using it with water.

Q4: Can I see the steam?

Because it uses nano steam technology, the mist is ultrafine and may not be easily visible to the naked eye. However, you will definitely feel it softening and deeply nourishing your hair as you style.

If you want to make sure it's working, simply hold the brush near a mirror while it’s on and you’ll instantly see fine water droplets condense on the glass.

Tip: After filling the water tank and turning the brush on, please allow 60 seconds for the steam system to fully warm up and generate power.

Q5. Will the steam damage my hair like a regular hot tool?

No, it works the other way. Steam softens your hair first, so it reshapes at a much lower temperature. That means less heat exposure, less damage, and added hydration instead of dryness.

You get the smooth result without the "fried" trade-off of dry heat.
